Liposuction For Your Chest

Spread the love

Liposuction For Your ChestMany women with large breasts feel burdened by their double D cups. Oversized, heavy breasts can lead to a lifetime of challenges such as limited sports activities and lead to significant spinal issues and back pains, and even emotional problems.

Liposuction breast reduction is a conservative cosmetic surgery procedure involving less scarring, less pain, less recovery, and better outcomes. This procedure is an innovative variation of liposuction and can reduce the breast by up to three cup sizes.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Eugene Kim provides liposuction of the chest to patients in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, CA, and surrounding locations.

Breaking from Tradition

Traditional breast reduction surgery, known as mammaplasty, involves the surgeon placing a substantial T-shaped incision to eliminate excess glandular tissue, skin, and fat.

In comparison, the surgeon will make only one tiny incision under each breast fold in liposuction breast reduction surgery. This incision will only be large enough to fit a small cannula (tube) through which the surgeon will suction out excess fat.

Traditional cosmetic surgery can take up to five hours to complete and nine weeks for complete recovery. However, liposuction breast reduction takes under an hour to complete, and patients can resume full activities within one week.

This procedure may be reassuring to many breast reduction candidates who may have previously avoided the surgery due to the risk of significant scarring and loss of sensation in the nipple area.

In liposuction breast reduction, the surgeon only removes the excess fat in the breast. Therefore, there is no risk of sensation loss in the nipple.

Tumescent Liposuction of the Female Breast

Tumescent liposuction for breast reduction involves only local anesthesia and offers patients dramatic breast reduction results as well as a moderate but appealing breast lift.

This liposuction technique involves the use of microcannulas, which allows for breast reduction with minimal post-op pain, quick recovery, rapid return to normal activities, and no scarring.

Tumescent liposuction can reduce the female breast size by over 50 percent while lifting the breasts significantly. The breast lift occurs due to the reduced breast weight. This enables the natural elastic properties of the breasts to contract and elevate the breasts.

The shape of the breasts does not change after this procedure. They only become smaller and moderately elevated. The breast shape will merely be a smaller version of its shape before the liposuction procedure.

Good Candidates

Liposuction breast reduction may offer some women better results than others. Tumescent breast reduction entirely by local anesthesia is recommended only for specific patients. But for the right patient, this procedure offers extremely gratifying results.

Ideal candidates for breast reduction by tumescent liposuction have breasts with a substantial proportion of fat. For instance, women who have undergone menopause usually have a higher proportion of fat than teens do. Good candidates also have reasonable expectations from the procedure.

Recovery

After the liposuction breast reduction procedure, the patient will be sent home with specific aftercare instructions, any necessary prescriptions, and appointments for post-operative follow-up. They may leave with temporary surgical drains in each incision area. These drains help prevent fluid collection and encourage quick healing.
