BOTOX® Cosmetic continues to be one of the most popular non-surgical wrinkle treatments available, capable of improving your look in a single 30-minute session. However, the effects of BOTOX® do not last forever. In order to maintain your results, you will need to receive further injections in the future.
BOTOX® can last anywhere from three to six months. Some patients prefer to wait until BOTOX® has completely worn off before receiving a repeat injection, while others decide to return to Dr. Kim at the first sign of wrinkles.
Repeat injections will not make BOTOX® less effective or cause any kind of harm. A very small percentage of people – one out of every 10,000 – may develop a resistance to BOTOX®, but this number is so small that studies have not been conducted on why it occurs.
