How Much Pain Can I Expect After a Breast Lift?

Spread the love

The amount of pain you experience after breast lift surgery will vary depending on a few different factors, including:

  • The extent of your breast lift
  • The surgical technique (s) used
  • How quickly you heal

Usually, the most significant amount of pain is experienced within the first 48 hours following surgery. During your breast lift procedure, Dr. Kim will apply a numbing medication at your surgical site to help alleviate much of this initial pain. Once the first 48 hours have passed, soreness may continue for another two to four days, gradually decreasing in severity. Post-surgical pain and discomfort can be treated with a wide variety of medications.

Every patient has a different threshold for pain. What seems particularly painful to one person may not cause another patient as much concern. Dr. Kim will work with you to make sure your pain is controlled after surgery.
