Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Eugene Kim was born and raised in the New York metropolitan area. He earned his B.A. degree at Dartmouth College where he graduated with honors. He attended New Jersey Medical School for his M.D. and trained for 6 years in general surgery at the University Hospital in New Jersey. During his general surgery residency, he received many awards for his leadership and teaching skills and was inducted into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He relocated to Los Angeles to begin his career in plastic surgery at the University of California Irvine. He trained with many reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeons in Orange County who are leaders in the field of rhinoplasty, facial plastic surgery, and breast surgery.
Dr. Kim currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine, where he actively participates in resident education. He attends Korean-American Graduate Medical Association (KAGMA) and Korean Medical Association (KMA) meetings in Los Angeles, and has been invited to speak about the challenges associated with Korean rhinoplasty by the Rotary Club in Koreatown.
